Jenna called in sick today. I shouldn’t rejoice at the misfortunes of others but I just don’t seem to have the tolerance for her these days. There is no school on Friday so I get another week reprieve.
My letter carrier gets here earlier each day. It was about 10:30 when she showed up today. Half of my packages will have to wait until tomorrow.
The boys refuse to go swimming until school is out. Never mind the temps in the 90s.
It’s weird staying home instead of going out to lunch every day. I wonder how long before I am sick of wraps. And I won’t be able to get deli meats & cheeses when school lets out. I just can’t take the extra time with these two wanderers.
This week’s POTD theme is water. Without driving around looking for a pond/river/lake, I have no idea what to shoot. I have no sprinkler to try the cool shots Bryan Peterson does. I guess I could just spritz some things around the house.

Water ideas.
1.) They make these cool LED lights for your faucet but surely there is something you have laying around the house that you could use to put behind a faucet to lighten it up.
2.) Run a bath of water and put some flower petals into it. I think I saw some flower petals in a previous photo of yours. You don’t have to get into the tub of course! BUT! It would symbolize relaxation.
3.) Washing hands
4.) Washing clothes
5.) Your theme could be “How I use water on a daily basis.”
6.) Condensation
7.) I’ve been wanting to do this one and since you have a dSLR it would work really well. Take multiple photos of you spraying water onto a plant around the house. Try to get one that stopped the water right as it was coming out of the bottle.
Just a few ideas that came to my mind when I read your theme for the week.
