Thursday…humdrum
I seem to lose motivation on Thursday. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the French. We learned in high school French class that the French had Thursdays off but had to go to school on Saturday. Kind of weird but that’s the French for you.

The boys are doing better with their daily tasks. But Ryan feels the need to play with everything and leave it out until that day comes and complains about on hard it is. sigh

The dry before the storms. My grass is looking sad. I have the sprinklers set but there is little water. Meanwhile, my next door neighbor has a leak that had reached grade and is running over the sidewalk annd down the street. He doesn’t seem to care.

We never water our lawns here. We (well, I) water the garden though. I don’t know anyone around here that does water the lawn. But then, we don’t have pretty lawns either.

We rarely had a problem in Michigan. But here, we get very little rain from January-May. Wild fires are a problem. And the grass needs so much water. It greens right up again come the summer rains in June but is prone to pests during the dry times. We use reclaimed water but there isn’t enough and we can only use it twice a week. If we use regular city water, we can only water once per week. Many people don’t care and water every chance they get.
