I went to an LSS (local scrapbook store) today. It wasn’t so local, it was over in Palm Harbor but I went there to meet a friend I met on a MB (message board). When RR first opened, we all went and were awed. It was so beautiful and filled with everything a scrapper could ever want. Each time we went back (usually a year in between visits), the store got more crowded but was still filled with such lovely goodness.

Today I was disappointed. There was too much stuff. Every square inch was filled with stuff. And some of it was old stock. Stuff I clearanced out over a year ago. I know they have sales but I don’t think they do much clearancing unless it’s a whole manufacturer such as what they are doing with Lil’ Davis and Chatterbox. Sure, somethings should stick around, they are classics. But others…I mean I got rid of that in my own stash over a year ago and I probably had it 1 or 2 years prior to that. I think it was because the place was SO crowded and there wasn’t anything amazing to see.

They were unpacking the Martha Stewart products while we were there. It was only available to Elite stores who buy a ton of stuff from EK. They had to use the MS display. It looked like Kmart display, ugly white metal. And it looked so out of place in a store that more resembles Pottery Barn. But when you are Martha, you can call the shots. I think it will look strange with the MS stuff neatly organized on these ugly displays (according to the plan-o-gram) and everything else shoved more tightly to make room for her highness. And when I asked the salewomen what they thought of the merchandise? They just shrugged.

Well, hell.

I didn’t walk on Friday. Ryan had thrown up Thursday night (probably a combo of french fries, chocolate milk, and trampoline) so he stayed home on Friday.

I got dressed to walk today but started cleaning the garage while we waiting for the bus. I noticed the water. I thought I had heard it a week ago but saw no evidence. Most likely because the moving pad absorded about 300 pounds of water. Then when it was soaked, it spread to other areas. Lost a few boxes, a couple of books and a key holder that I never got hung. feck.

I dragged out the moving pad and hung it over a chair to dry. It may take days, or weeks if it keeps raining.

I cleaned up the area to let anymore water drain away. Hopefully it was a fluke. I did see an ugly black frog duck under the tool chest. He can stay until he starves to death.

Off to shower and then work. Cleaned up the clearance area on the site so more orders of sale stuff. Oh well, need the money and to clear out this stuff.

No creativity today.

The boys got haircuts after school and that threw me off and wasted 2 hours. Though I must say I was proud of Ryan. He went back with Dana, ALONE!, while I sat up front with Andy until his turn. Then he sat quietly while Andy was trying NOT to get his hair cut.

Those kinds of things wipe me out and I am having a hard time keeping my eyes focused. Well, tomorrow is Friday and maybe, just maybe, Bonnie might scrap with me.

I have a goal in mind.

I walked again today. Almost twice as long and twice as far since I turned the other direction today. Still not great but progress not perfection, whatever.

I am playing a game with myself and if I manage to 4 out 5 mornings each week until Christmas, I can get new stereo speakers. Perfect timing for when my dad is here.

I like the Beatles!

I never really thought about it before. I would never call myself a fan. When Gail died, I gave away his collection of export CDs. But lately it seems like I have been missing them. I have, especially since I never listen to the radio. I purchased two CDs, 1 and The White Album on the suggestion of the guy at Borders.

So I loaded the CDs into my iTunes and comes across one or two each day. Oh my! I forgot how much I DO like them. I think I had taken them for granted because it was so prevelant. Now that I didn’t have any, I missed them. And so many songs I didn’t even associate with with them, like Come Together, I am “discovering” all over again.

Of course, some of you make be shaking your heads because of the name of this blog. Hey, it sounded good. BTW, I have now learned that the proper spelling is Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. Oh Bla Do O Blah Da came from a google search.
