What better way than to have a Garage Sale!

The community was having one and usually I don’t participate but I thought it might be a good idea. I wanted to reduce my holiday decorations and I had tons of scrapbooking stuff. I told a few scrapper and they showed up about 8:15 and were there over an hour! I did pretty well, over $400.00 but it doesn’t look like I got rid of much.

Bonnie thought I should try again and place an ad in the paper. Since it was already set up, that is what I am doing this weekend. I boxed up all the christmas and household stuff and took it to the Salvation Army truck. SO this weekend will only be about scrapbooking. I don’t think the weather will be great like last weekend but luckily everything is contained IN the garage.

31. - 40. Boxes and Bag filled with Christmas decorations, household items, extra linens.

The bedrooms are looking pretty good. Jenna tried to kill me chemical fumes while she cleaned. I never sneezed so many times in a row. It would be nice if the boys could stop making such a mess. I hate to nag them…

Normally I don’t read them. The sketch is enough of a challenge for me to do a layout. But I happened to glimpse at the one for today. What is you memorable birthday. A thought popped into my head and I decided to type out the memory.

My most memorable birthday? Actually it wasn’t even my birthday but it was probably the most fun I had.

We were in Poland, exchange students for a semester. Someone in the group had a birthday and we had a party. We then decided that we should all celebrate our birthdays even if they didn’t occur during the time we were there.

So mine was April 11. We went to the Pewix to get booze. We almost missed our tram. I was running and slipped on the oil-slicked track. I fell but luckily didn’t break any of the bottles.

Everyone from the class came including the professors. Several of the marine guards from the embassy came and brought the beer. I got very drunk. I remember kissing a couple of the marines.

I got gifts from everyone, which really surprised me. I think the only gift I still have is the hand-tooled album from Tony. I remember loving the vase Mike gave me but years later is broke.

Many people passed out, including our professor, Fred.

Several weeks, some of the guards got in trouble for coming to the party. Poland was still a communist country and they were not allowed to fraternize with the civilians. I felt bad about that.

I just cleaned my glasses, with lens cleaner even. Wow.

How did that happen?

Usually, when I feel myself coming down with something, I go to the chiropractor and it goes away within a day. Monday I went for my regular visit and latter that day felt it coming on. What the heck? OK, it is probably the cold that Ryan has and he shared with me. But, I don’t get colds anymore and I don’t like being sick dammit! OK, enough, it really isn’t that bad but I feel so tired.

On a positive note, I love my iPod. I was coming home from the chiropractor and Seals & Crofts came on. I love those guys. I would never seek them out but love that on shuffle, my iPod will eventually play my favorites. Of course with over 10,ooo songs, it may be a while before I hear them again.
