I have a new podcast favorite, Auntie Vera Charles. I “found” her through Madge. I’ve been listening to her podcasts and I’m hooked. She mostly just talks and what I love best are her voices. Such a talent!

Vera is not her real name. And Vera is not a woman. She is a gay man who is hiding behind the name for anonymity. Vera is an actor who does a lot of voice work. I think I may have figured out who she is. I won’t be posting anything as she doesn’t want her identity to be made public. She said if she was exposed, she would have to quit making her podcasts. And since I enjoy them so much, I will keep her secret. Just being selfish that way.

Hank is leaving next Monday. His visits are nice but I do enjoy being alone (at least while the boys are in school). When he is here, I feel like I am 12 years old again, trying to be a good girl. Last year, he admonished me for saying “Oh my God!” so much while I was on the phone. I was humiliated. But I understand that he takes personal offense and that so I tried to clean up my language. Yes, I am 43, but he is still my father.

Now if it was my mother chastising me, I would have told her to get fucked.
